The Rising Eagle Publick House takes inspiration from the spirit of early America and the historic roots of Melrose. Our name and setting honor the bold, welcoming feel of a Revolutionary era tavern while serving today's guests with fresh food, friendly service, and plenty of local pride.
Hours & Visiting
What are your hours?
Monday through Thursday, we are open 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Friday, we are open 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Saturday, we are open 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. Sunday, we are open 10:00 am to 9:00 pm.
Do you take reservations?
For select holidays and special occasions, we may offer reservations. When reservations are available, details will be shared on our Happenings page or event pages.
Can I call if I do not see the time or party size I need online?
Yes. If reservations are being offered for a special event and you do not see your preferred time or party size online, please call us at 781-590-4111 and we will do our best to help.
Do you offer full table service?
For select special events and holidays, full table service may be available. Otherwise, guests can enjoy our classic Publick House style.

Do you have daily or seasonal specials?
Yes. Specials are located at the top of our menu under "Today's Proclamations". Check the Menus page or ask our team during your visit.
Do you have a kids menu?
Yes. Our menu includes Little Patriots options for younger guests.
Do you serve seafood?
Yes. Fresh seafood is part of who we are, with menu inspiration connected to the Turner's Seafood team and the freshest seafood in New England.

Do you serve brunch?
Yes. Brunch is served every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Is the all day menu available during brunch?
Yes. Our All Day Menu is also available during brunch hours.
What time does the bar open during brunch?
As we like to say, it's Melrose. The bar opens at 11:00 am.

Yes. The Upham Room at Rising Eagle is available for private functions and offers a historic setting with warm service and flexible menu options.
What types of events can be hosted in the Upham Room?
The Upham Room can host bridal showers, baby showers, wedding receptions, team banquets, business meetings, reunions, memorial services, cocktail parties, group buffets, plated meals, and more.
How many guests can the private function space accommodate?
Depending on the event style, the Upham Room can accommodate up to 60 guests for plated functions and up to 75 guests for cocktail parties.

The Upham Room is located on the second floor of Rising Eagle's historic building in downtown Melrose.
